Elegant End Table

We have this little end table in the Living Room that I built a long time ago. It's a cute little design, but the way I oriented the legs (not at the four corners) means that it is a bit tippy.

I decided that it was time to design a new little end table to replace the tippy one. And I also decided to make it a quick and simple project. I built it in one weekend, using just ONE (rather wide) cherry board. I assembled it using pocket screws, which are quick, simple, and plenty strong for this.

I talk my way through the whole project, hopefully sharing useful woodworking tips and techniques. And I also show when I screw up, which happened in a big way when tried to make an ad-hoc tapering jig. Lesson Learned! o
